Jupiter Island is a name that conjures up tropical images of sparkling clear, warm Atlantic waters and sport fishing for dolphin, sailfish, and wahoo, of wide & mostly deserted beaches, of swaying palms trees and warm breezes. Just north of these Jupiter Island condos is the Blowing Rocks Preserve, a 73-acre parcel of natural and undeveloped Jupiter Island property owned by the Nature Conservancy. The Preserve extends from the famous “Blowing Rocks” on the ocean side to the Indian River Lagoon side with its hiking trails. Having a virgin section of old Florida only adds to the mystique and charm of Jupiter Island. In addition to Blowing Rocks, there is the Palm Beach County Park at Coral Cove with guarded beaches, a playground, and like everywhere on Jupiter Island, it is never crowded.
Head over the small bridge to the mainland and you arrive at the Village of Tequesta with its small shops, quiet atmosphere, and great restaurants like Hog Snappers. The Village has a post office, Town Hall and public library, which all make living on Jupiter Island great.
