Aruba, known as ‘One Happy Island’, is located around 29 kilometers north of the coast of Venezuela, and about 1,600 kilometers west of the main part of the Lesser Antilles of the Caribbean Islands. It measures 32 kilometers in length, and 10 kilometers at its widest point. Aruba is one of four countries that form the Kingdom of the Netherlands and all its citizens are Dutch nationals. It enjoys a dry climate, and visitors love the fact that they can reliably expect warm, dry, and sunny weather. In fact Aruba boasts more sunny days than any other Caribbean islands.

Aruba offers a variety of stunning beaches, including Eagle Beach which has been named as the third best beach in the world by TripAdvisor. The beaches are all known for the beautiful white sand and clear turquoise waters. There are several reefs and wrecks just offshore for snorkelers and scuba divers to explore. And if you want to try your hand at water-sports rather than just relaxing on the pristine shores you can enjoy kite surfing and windsurfing off Malmok Beach. Other popular attractions include Hooiberg Hill, an iconic mountaintop that was forged by a volcano, and Arikok National Park where you can explore the Fontein Caves and the Natural Pool.

Real Estate options are varied, and you can find exciting new condos, parcels of land, and stunning villas for sale throughout the island. Aruba is a popular choice for tourists and for those looking to make a permanent move thanks to its excellent weather, ease of access, and lack of a language barrier. Nearly everybody here speaks Spanish, English, Dutch, and Papimento (the local dialect) so it doesn’t take long to feel like home. With modern services and amenities coupled with a tropical, laid-back, paradise island atmosphere, Aruba could be the perfect place for you to call home!
