Although Jupiter is a small town, there is something here for everyone. And even though Jupiter has many single family home communities, we also have a few 55+ communities. One of these is Wingfoot. Built in the mid-1980s, these 96, two and three bedroom units have between about 1,200 and 1,400 feet of living space, many with screened patios. Condos in Wingfoot belong to Indian Creek real estate, which is located behind the semi-private Golf Club of Jupiter. Folks retiring to the Sunshine State and who like to play golf daily, may find that this golf club is the perfect new home for them.
Some of the homes overlook the 9th fairway. Inside you will find eat-in kitchens and laundry rooms. Many screened porches have hurricane shutters, but upgraded units may have impact glass for added protection instead of shutters.
Jupiter is a small town both geographically and in terms of the “feel” of the town. Jupiter Medical Center is just around the corner and there is hardly ever a crowd, even in the emergency room. And because Jupiter is an affluent town, donations to the Jupiter Medical Center are very generous. Other facilities the 55+ crowd may find appealing are the public library, Town Hall, post office, and North County Aquatic Center which all are located within a 5 minute drive.
Jupiter’s famous beaches are about 10 minutes away and offer free access to miles of clean, wide beaches where dogs are welcome. This means you can find folks at the beach in the evening letting the family dog romp. Another big attraction is the Jupiter Inlet where folks gather at dusk to watch the day unwind. If you need to visit the famous shopping and dining mecca of Palm Beach Gardens you can be there in just 10 minutes also.
