In a town as affluent as Jupiter, it is uncommon to find a community devoted to the lifestyles of the 55+ crowd and yet Fisherman’s Landing is just that.  Located on the very scenic Jones Creek, one of the small tributaries that feed into the Jupiter Inlet and then into the Atlantic Ocean, there are both duplexes and single family homes in Fisherman’s Landing.

You certainly wouldn’t expect to find such an overlooked spot in Jupiter real estate for a retired folk’s community, but this is definitely one of the best around.  In addition to the waterfront location, there is a clubhouse, day docks and a couple of private ones and a boat ramp for those that want to launch their own boat.  To head out into the Inlet, you meander through a sleepy, mangrove lined creek, under a couple of small bridges and right into the mouth of the Loxahatchee River where it meets the Jupiter Inlet.  If you don’t want to head into the ocean, you can venture up into the Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the historic site of the legendary Trapper Nelson.  Here a mixture of salt and fresh water fish can be found.

One of the things people tend to enjoy in their sunset years is ease of living and you certainly find that at Fisherman’s Landing.  Tucked off Pennock Lane, named after one of Jupiter’s pioneer families, you are less than 5 minutes from the Public Library, Town Hall, Post Office and the North County Aquatic Center which offers water aerobics classes.  Another big consideration is always the accessibility of medical facilities and the Jupiter Medical Center and the associated physician’s offices are less than 3 miles away also.

Many County Parks like Dubois, the Inlet Park and Carlin Parks are close by on the ocean and this means you never have to be without the opportunity to enjoy our coast.
