The Sands is a mixed home community of 5 subdivisions located on the prestigious Hutchinson Island, Florida. The subdivisions housed here are Lakeview, Lakeshore, Riverside, Riverpointe, and Riverwalk. The varying types of homes include condos, single family homes, townhomes, and courtyard homes.
This luxurious gated community is located on the shores of the Indian River just moments from the beach and with a large lake at the center. Each subdivision provides amenities that include picnic pavilions, swimming pools, tennis courts, and private beach access. There is also a lending library located near the entrance. The association runs a marina and boat slips are available for purchase at a reasonable price.
Hutchinson Island is known for its natural beauty, warm sunny days, and relaxing lifestyle. Residents here enjoy plenty of activities such as horse riding, golf, scuba diving, fishing, and more. Plenty of parks are available on the island with beaches and are wonderful places to relax and take in the beautiful coastline.
For those that love wildlife you will find plenty of nature trials, some great bird watching areas, and if you find the right beaches you can see nesting turtles from April to September. Please be respectful of their habitat. The Florida Oceanographic Society Coastal Science Center teaches residents and visitor all about the turtles and their conservation which is very useful and informative.
Everyday conveniences exist on the island with gas stations, grocery stores, and restaurants and with just a short drive you can be on the mainland in wonderful places such as Stuart and Fort Pierce.
