Pineapple Grove emerged from plans to develop a large residential property in western Fort Pierce into a phased single-family neighborhood. The approved site plan established a 402-lot development along with lakes, roadways, recreational areas, and community facilities.

Infrastructure planning also led to the creation of the Pineapple Grove Community Development District. The district was established by St. Lucie County in September 2025 under Florida’s Community Development District framework. The CDD can finance and maintain qualifying community infrastructure through assessments on properties within the district.

Holiday Builders subsequently introduced its new-home program for Pineapple Grove and began building the community. By September 2026, move-in-ready and coming-soon homes were being marketed, and the Pineapple Grove model home had opened for visitors.

Pineapple Grove is therefore an active new-construction community rather than a future development awaiting a residential launch. Buildout will continue as additional homes and phases are completed.
