Sandra Bullock’s Wooded Estate

By Jeff Lichtenstein

Sandra Bullock, one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actresses and producers, makes her home at a gorgeous mansion on Angelo Drive in Beverly Hills. Bullock recently installed increased security and a special guarded gate as it seems she is still recovering from the break-in of stalker Joshua Corbett into her home in 2014, where Bullock had to lock herself in a closet to remain safe.

The Tudor-style estate, which Bullock purchased for $16.19 million in 2011, has 8 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a tennis court, guest house, pool, gardens, and a long, gated drive with extra security. Bullock has a master suite with a sitting room, fireplace, and 2 bathrooms in the 8,100-square-foot home. The mansion is surrounded by a beautiful, thickly wooded area.

The estate also includes a gorgeous living room with a cozy fireplace, a paneled dining room with a fireplace, a library full of books, office, eat-in kitchen, workout room, and staff quarters, all of which are protected by a new, state-of-the-art security system. Bullock also enjoys a separate movie screening room and a poolside pavilion with an additional bedroom. There is a large section of solar panels on the side of the property, making use of the bright California sun, and a vacant lot beyond that. Although it may be a peaceful setting, the woods and vacant lot probably don’t help to calm the actress who has been a victim of stalking several times before.

The expansive property has a large flat backyard and panoramic 270-degree views from downtown to the Pacific Ocean. An enclosed gazebo is the perfect spot for the Oscar-winning actress to sip her iced tea and enjoy the views on her picturesque hilltop property. The estate was previously owned by That Girl, Marlo Thomas, who sold it to showbiz billionaire David Geffen, who later sold the home to radio station tycoon Norm Pattiz for $5.93 million.
