Its location is one of the project’s defining characteristics. Singer Island Gateway would sit on the Lake Worth Lagoon side of the island, close to Phil Foster Park and the Blue Heron Bridge. The surrounding area provides access to the Atlantic Ocean, Lake Worth Inlet, waterfront recreation, and the beaches and condominium communities along North Ocean Drive.

History of Singer Island Gateway

Singer Island Gateway has been associated with redevelopment plans for the Lake Drive property for several years. An earlier proposal received city approvals in 2017 for an eight-story condominium building with 135 units on approximately 1.86 acres, along with a 16-slip marina. That project was never constructed.

The property later changed ownership, and a substantially different proposal emerged in 2026. The current plan is for a much larger high-rise mixed-use development with approximately 298 residences, commercial space, civic areas, and waterfront components. The current proposal remains subject to review and approval by the City of Riviera Beach.
