Most of the island is in the city of Riviera Beach but the town of Palm Beach Shores occupies its southern tip. The development of Singer Island into a popular resort area of Florida occurred during the 1950’s and today the island continues to welcome sun seekers searching for a tranquil beachfront haven.

Singer Island, Also Known as Condo Corridor

Known by the locals as the “condo corridor” Singer Island has over 20 condominium complexes in its four mile stretch of tropical land. Each building has its own unique architectural style ranging from modern, to contemporary, to Mediterranean. Some of the amenities in these lavish complexes include private balconies, elevators, garage parking, beach access, resort style swimming pools, outdoor grilling areas, media rooms, libraries, fitness facilities, tennis courts, and much more. Other real estate on the island includes stately homes with waterfront views. These homes are extremely popular with anglers who desire docks with easy ocean access via the Palm Beach Inlet.

Or stay close to the shores of Singer Island and drift fish for Snapper, Grouper, Kingfish, and Shark. You might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the dolphins jumping along the way.

Just 2 miles from the center of Singer Island in Riviera Beach you can find Rapids Water Park, the ideal place to spend a day in the Florida heat. The park is South Florida’s largest water park featuring action packed attractions including 35 of the biggest, wettest, and most thrilling water rides. With plenty of snack bars located all over the park you can always find somewhere to sit and chill between thrills and replenish some energy with a variety of snacks and meals. If you fancy your own private escape in the park then rent a Cabana with your own drop-down curtains for complete privacy, a flat screen tv, private lockers, and a personal food and beverage service.

Singer Island also has beautiful parks for the more strenuous activities such as hiking, biking, snorkelling, and SCUBA diving. Located on the northern end of the island is John D. MacArthur State Beach Park, named for the financier who donated the land. It is also a great place for kayaking and canoeing as it lies in the estuary of Lake Worth Lagoon.

Or opt for the Phil Foster Park, named as one of the best dive sites on the planet by Sport Diver Magazine. The park includes an 800-foot-long Artificial Reef and Snorkel Trail which is great for groups or beginners.

The Sailfish Marina Restaurant serves local seafood with fresh catches straight off the boats. Both the Hilton and Marriott are well known for their fine dining options as well as the casual ocean and poolside eateries such as Coconuts on the Beach at the Hilton, and Reef Tiki Bar and Lagoon Cantina at the Marriott. For Mexican food Guakamole’s Mexican Grille and Café serves organic and gluten-free, while Two Drunken Goats is a laid-back cantina.

If you can tear yourself away from the paradise and comforts of Singer Island the Palm Beach Water Taxi is available to shuttle guests around the Island and to the mainland for meals, shopping, and shows. Sightseeing cruises are also available.
