Discover the Lifestyle of Wilson Groves Homes

Wilson Groves is a large master-planned development taking shape in southwest Port St. Lucie. The approximately 2,499-acre property lies west of Interstate 95, east of Range Line Road, and north of the C-23 Canal, with Becker Road providing an important connection through this growing part of the city.

Plans for Wilson Groves extend well beyond residential neighborhoods. The approved Development of Regional Impact provides for thousands of homes alongside commercial, office, civic, institutional, recreational, and educational uses. As development progresses, Wilson Groves Homes for Sale will become part of a much larger mixed-use environment designed to connect neighborhoods with parks, trails, roads, and everyday services.

About Wilson Groves

Wilson Groves is an approved Development of Regional Impact and New Community Development district encompassing approximately 2,499 acres. The master plan allows for up to 7,700 residential units, making Wilson Groves one of the larger planned development areas in Port St. Lucie.

The overall plan divides the property among residential, mixed-use, and neighborhood/village commercial areas. Approximately 1,876 acres carry a residential land-use designation, while 566 acres are designated for mixed use and 57 acres for neighborhood/village commercial uses.

Development is occurring in phases rather than as a single subdivision built at once. One major component is Wilson Groves Parcel A, an approximately 390-acre residential Master Planned Unit Development north of Becker Road. This area is being developed as Sundance, a planned residential community within the larger Wilson Groves development.

The broader Wilson Groves plan also establishes a network of future roads and pedestrian connections intended to link its different development areas with surrounding southwest Port St. Lucie.

History of Wilson Groves

The Wilson Groves property takes its name from the historic Alan Wilson Grove plat. Planning for large-scale redevelopment of the land dates to the mid-2000s, and the Wilson Groves Development of Regional Impact received approval with conditions for a substantial combination of residential and non-residential uses.

Akel Homes announced its acquisition of approximately 2,500 acres at Wilson Grove in 2020. Subsequent planning has refined the locations of residential, mixed-use, and commercial areas within the property.

In 2024, Port St. Lucie approved a conceptual master plan providing long-term guidance for the Wilson Groves DRI. The plan addresses residential and non-residential development as well as major roads, utilities, stormwater facilities, school sites, civic uses, trails, and greenways.

Development has since moved into more detailed phases. Plats have been approved within Parcel A, while planning and zoning activity continued into 2026 as individual portions of Wilson Groves advanced toward construction.

Amenities

Because Wilson Groves is a developing master-planned community, its complete amenity network will be delivered over time. The approved large-scale development framework includes significant recreational and community infrastructure rather than relying solely on individual neighborhood amenities.

Planned elements within the broader Wilson Groves development include:

  • Approximately 90 acres designated for parks
  • Multi-use trails and greenways
  • A planned paseo incorporating paths for recreation and local connectivity
  • Two K-8 school sites
  • Civic and institutional areas
  • Neighborhood and village commercial areas
  • Mixed-use districts with future shopping, services, and employment uses

Individual residential communities within Wilson Groves may have their own amenities and association facilities. These should be considered amenities of those specific neighborhoods rather than amenities automatically available throughout Wilson Groves.

Residents will also have access to the broader recreational, shopping, dining, and service options found throughout Port St. Lucie, including established destinations in Tradition and other areas along the I-95 corridor.
