The Sanctuary, Palm Beach Gardens, FL Homes for Sale

I looked at 30 houses before we came back to the gates of The Sanctuary.

We were looking for 4 bedrooms on one floor, and there happened to be only 3 houses available in The Sanctuary at the time. The first one wasn’t for us but as we got out at the second property, I could smell a wonderful tropical flower. It was the gardenia bushes and night blooming jasmine lining the front walk leading to the front door.

The Realtor rang the bell, and as the door opened I was looking at a bank of french doors and out to a sparkling freeform pool with a waterfall. I tried to keep my mouth closed. We began to walk to the right through the living and dining room, and as I turned the corner, I saw a huge kitchen with walls of tall white cabinets, opening into the family room and dinette. He had me at the kitchen, and the rest was a blur.

People who live here in these Palm Beach Gardens homes love that the association fees are minimal and every lot is either on the preserve or the lake, so it’s very private from front to back. It’s a good mix of young couples with babies, empty nesters, and retired couples who have dogs to walk and visiting families coming and going. Many residents are the original homeowners, but there’s always someone little outside skateboarding, riding bikes, and on occasion having lemonade stands.

Unfortunately The Sanctuary was published in the Palm Beach Post as one of the best neighborhoods in the city for Halloween. Now the secret’s out. It’s the biggest event of the neighborhood, for kids and adults alike. Many people decorate for the event outdoors, and if you choose to, it’s a great night to bring your outdoor chairs out to the driveway and enjoy the show. We love it here, and hope to stay for a long time.
