Manalapan is an extremely wealthy town in South Florida adjacent to and just south of world-famous Palm Beach. Its residents are both millionaires and billionaires, with some of the largest and most spectacular oceanfront and Intracoastal homes found anywhere in the world. Primarily Mizner in architecture, these award-winning homes showcase water views and art, filled with both antique furniture and high-end art, much of which has come from auctions at both Sotheby’s and Christie’s.

Downtown Palm Beach caters to these residents with high-end jewellery and clothing stores, art galleries and restaurants. It is not unusual for a couple to drop in unexpectedly and 30 minutes later leave with a trinket worth $250,000 or more. $1,000 bottles of wine are more the norm than the rarity and the parade of Bentleys, Rolls-Royces and Ferraris line the streets daily.

These residents desert Manalapan in late spring, leaving behind a full-time staff to take care of both the interior of the home and the exterior gardening. Most residents have multiple homes, with Manhattan, The Hamptons and Aspen, as well as occasionally Beverly Hills, as their other primary residences.
