Things To Do & See! | Jupiter Lighthouse and Museum Spotlight

The Jupiter Lighthouse and Museum, which is located just north of the Loxahatchee River and just west of the southern tip of Jupiter Island, is a well-known landmark to Jupiter/Tequesta residents and visitors.

The Jupiter Lighthouse, which was built in 1860, has an extensive history and has truly stood the test of time. It’s hard not to notice and/or admire it while either driving over the US-1 bridge, cruising by in your boat, or just relaxing on the Intracoastal Waterway across the way at great restaurants like uTiki, Jetty’s, Rustic Inn Crabhouse, or The Square Grouper.

If you are looking for something fun and educational, for a low admission price ($10 for adults, $5 children ages 6-18. Free: Children ages 5 & under), you can schedule a guided tour of the historical grounds and climb to the top of the lighthouse for breathtaking views and photos. If you are looking for a more unique experience, the staff also provides moonrise and sunset tours, along with hosting an assortment of planned events monthly all throughout the year.

As it is a fully functioning lighthouse, at night you will see the lights spin in the darkness, quite a sight! Jupiter and Tequesta wouldn’t feel the same without it!
