Things We Can Do To Better Our Local Community

Race and growing up disadvantaged are obviously a major topic that we as a nation, community, and individual households are having. There are tons of ways to get involved and in a 1-1 fashion to make a difference. Locally, I would like to give a shout out to Big Brothers and Big Sisters in Palm Beach and Martin County as there is an extreme shortage of over 200 male Big Brother mentors to these boys in particular.

There are multiple ways to help. The Community program matches you with a child from 6-14 years of age and takes 4-6 hours of personal time a month.

Children must be motivated and want to be in the program. Things like taking a walk, going to a museum, or simply hanging out and talking are all that is required. They also have business mentoring programs and other ways to help. For more information ℹ️ http://mentorbig.org/
