PGA National’s Women’s Cancer Awareness Day has, over the last six years, raised almost half a million dollars for clinical trials access programs for cancer patients in our local communities. It is with this successful history that the committee has grasped the unique opportunity to have a broader impact by focusing their funding on research advancements in novel cancer drug discovery. The monies raised in 2012 will sponsor post-doctoral fellowships in cancer research at the internationally renowned Scripps Research Institute at Scripps Florida, on our doorstep in Jupiter, Florida.
