Palm Beach County has voted to raise the Tourist Development Tax from 5% to 6%. This change will take effect February 1, 2015. The PBC Tax Collector’s Office expressed that regardless of when the lease was executed or when the funds were collected, as of February 1st the taxes must be paid at a rate of 6%. This will mean that an additional 1% will need to be collect for the seasonal rentals that are disbursed after January 30, 2015.
