One of the great things about northern Palm Beach County is just how easy it is to navigate. Newcomers to Palm Beach Gardens and The Town of Jupiter won’t have much trouble getting around their community, finding local landmarks, running errands, and making it to the beach. Thanks to the close proximity of both I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, as well as a few main roads running east to west and north to south, your local commute is a breeze.
Map: Main streets of Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens
To get into the area, travelers entering from the North and South will primarily be using I-95 and Turnpike. These two expressways run parallel to each other in Jupiter, with I-95 veering slightly eastward upon entering Palm Beach Gardens. I-95 has exits on Indiantown Road, Donald Ross Road, and PGA Boulevard, while the Turnpike has exits on Indiantown Road and PGA Boulevard (there is no Turnpike exit for Donald Ross).
Indiantown Road, Donald Ross Road, and PGA Boulevard will all take you fully east across the Intracoastal Waterway before terminating on A1A on the Atlantic coast. If you want to get to the beach, these are the roads to take. These three roads will also take you west past the highways to the communities of Jupiter Farms (use Indiantown Road), North Palm Beach Heights (use Donald Ross Road), PGA National (use PGA Boulevard), and more. Indiantown Road and PGA Boulevard both terminate at the Beeline Highway.
In order to travel north to south through Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens, you have the option of using Central Boulevard, Military Trail, and ALT A1A (Alternate A1A) west of the Intracoastal Waterway, and US-1 and A1A (also called beach road in some areas) east of the Intracoastal.
In order not to confuse ALT A1A with A1A, just remember that ALT A1A runs along the FEC train tracks while A1A runs along the coast.
And there you have it; the easy, straightforward way to navigate from Jupiter to Palm Beach Gardens.
