K-BN330 – Bathroom Return on Investment

Turbo or Oscillating Cleaning! Dryer! Deodorization! Warming Bun Features! High Intensity Water Pressure! All with your remote control.

If you don’t have the Novita K-BN330, what in the world are you waiting for? Once you go Novita K-BN330, you aren’t going back.  If you make one investment this year in your home, this will be the one you will use. In the morning. The daytime. The evening. At night. And you won’t be disappointed. The blue florescent light makes it easy to not stub your toe which wakes up Ralphie the dog with 2am barking. The seat not only opens up but is warm which is oh so comforting. Set the temperature and strength of the water. You leave squeaky clean, smell baby bottom pleasant, and don’t even have to flush. Yup the Novita K-BN330 does that too.

It used to be only the Europeans and uber wealthy, well to do types would be the ones to get bidets. Back in 2000 when I started, it was always easy to identify a foreigner by whether or not the home had a bidet. Christophe de Rosiers, from France, likely invented the first Bidet in 1710 and Arnie Cohen (a.k.a. Mr. Bidet) invented the first bidet toilet seat. Today, you can get a fully fitted one piece or one for a fraction of the cost that fits right over your toilet bowl (thanks to Arnie). There are other fabulous choices in bidet products with [expert testing]. What a job! The Bio Bliss BB-2000 got squeaky clean reviews as did the Alpha JX, Brondell Swash SE400, and the budget minded Tushy Classic 3.0 with add on ottoman for only $59. The pandemic led to many changes in society. Some, like working at home and QR code menus are sticking around. Others such as social distancing not so much. Cleanliness in the bathroom is one that is sticking around. This week I was interviewed by the Palm Beach Post about bathrooms and whether you get a good ROI out of them.  There are in fact two areas where you do get a positive ROI in your home and only one that everyone will definitely use.

Other than my mom’s green bean casserole once a decade, the kitchen is a place that has that motto “to look good is better than to feel good” for some. The fridge for my mom is a place for water, melons, and battery storage (batteries keep better in the cold – who knew).  Everyone wants a feelgood kitchen whether they are a gourmet chef or eat out 7 days a week (It is Florida).  While you get a positive ROI in your kitchen, you might just look at it. The primary bathroom is another story altogether though.  Not only is the ROI positive, but you will enjoy it. The bathroom is a place to relax. Everyone likes going to a spa and your home bathroom should be no different. It’s a spot where you get ready in the morning and unwind at the end of the day.  The bathroom should be designed as your personal oasis and it’s ok to pamper yourself here by spending some of your well and truly earned dollars. Bidets, infrared faucets, and 6-8 shower heads are not the heaviest investments that can net you some nice dollars when you sell, but you will get daily investment from. Whites, blues, greens, and grays are still the top color pallets. Keep neutral and decorate with color. Stick with paint rather than wallpaper (other than the powder room) but make sure your painter knows which paint can handle the humidity. If you still have those 6 mirrored strips around bulbs, change those in for something more modern. Inserts for towels and cloths in the shower or heated towel bars are becoming more popular as well. Televisions built into the mirror, quartz countertops, and glass colored backsplashes are all desired. Go a bit higher in height on the toilet bowl and cabinets if you are doing a complete remodel. Last, make sure your floors are not too slippery. Having some texture on your feet, especially in the shower is key.  And yes, you still want a bathtub. One in the primary bath even if it’s just for show. One in the one of the guest baths in case family or grandkids come to visit. If you follow these guidelines, I promise you won’t be flushing your hard-earned dollars away.
