Glenn Beck Broke In Jupiter!

Glenn Beck broke in Jupiter!? Hardly. Ironically, the name of his last book is ‘Broke – Restarting the Engine of America’ and he surely knows how to whip things up.

His rally in Washington drew hundreds of thousands. It happened to be staged on the same date as the famous ‘I Have a Dream’ speech by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., which caused howls of contempt from the Civil Rights Activists.

Last year, Beck came to Jupiter and caused a near riot at Books A Million where he held a book signing. The store was actually closed to ‘real’ customers unless you were accidentally trapped inside when the doors were closed…by the cops no less. I stopped by, but discouraged by the mob scene and the flashing blue lights of the cop cars, I moseyed off.

Today, I was driving past our local theater when I noticed this up on the marquee, so I stopped and asked what was going on.

Here’s the scoop:  On December 2nd, Beck brings his latest book to life on stage and on silver screens nationwide LIVE from Pittsburgh to movie theaters nationwide. For $20 you can go sit in a theater and listen to Glenn on the silver screen. I think double sawbucks is about twice the current price of a movie ticket.

There’s an old saying, ‘Make hay while the sun shines’, and by golly, Beck, Limbaugh and Sean Hannity have hay flying in all directions. I mean, just look at Beck’s website. It looks like some graffiti & ad-covered wall you might find riding the train out of Manhattan, complete with the Crazy Eddie lookalike ad.

If you need a pitchman, Beck’s your guy! Some local real estate agents even have him pumping out publicity for them. But this works and man does it!  Beck made a reported $32 million in 2009, more than even Rush Limbaugh scraping by at $28 million. Of course, this is not including the $400 million ‘re-up’ Limbaugh just signed.

So, if your calendar is free that Thursday and you are a Beck fan, there are probably still seats to be had. If not, you will probably be able to see a replay (for a fee) or buy a DVD.
