Eastpointe Country Club Merger

Dear Member,

Last evening, the membership of Eastpointe Country Club  in Palm Beach Gardens mirrored our memberships’ action by overwhelmingly authorizing their Board of Directors to join with our Board in taking all necessary action to merge the two clubs. As we have discussed often during the last 60 days, Merger, with its resulting combination of assets, reduction in administrative expenses, and economy of scale in operational expenses; along with a new unity in interest and the elimination of competition, will result in the birth of a new Club that benefits our community and every member. Without doubt, the value of the new Club will be greatly more than the sum of the two independent Clubs.

Over the next several days, our Club will commence two separate but very related actions to support the creation of our new Country Club. Firstly, we will conclude discussions with Billy Casper Companies (BCC) to define all of the terms of a management contract and BCC will assume the day-to-day management of the Golf and Racquet Club. Secondly, we will engage our counterparts at the Eastpointe Country Club to add content to our Intent to Merge Agreement (presented to the membership on April 20th) and conclude our formal agreement. Shortly thereafter, the Board of Directors of the new entity will commence their workings so that on November 1, 2015, our new Club will be up and running!

And while these important steps to our future are occurring, we will continue to vigilantly operate our Club and get our financial house in order. As always, we will keep our membership informed of all of our activities and the resulting progress. On behalf of your Board of Directors, I extend appreciation to our entire membership for your continued loyalty to our Club and support during the last four months. Most importantly, we recognize the characteristic that makes our membership so very special, our sprit of Family.
