Old Marsh is a gated high-end luxury golf course community in the heart of Palm Beach Gardens buffered on 3 sides by nature preserves and wetlands that will never be developed. The course is unforgettably picturesque with its abundant species of wildlife such as the three-foot high Sandhill Crane, Egrets, endangered Wood Storks, Bobcats, Florida Deer, and even American Bald Eagles.
The elegant 25,000 square foot clubhouse includes a lavish reception area and displays the historic club collection of Scottish Club maker Laurie Auchterlonie. Being a small private club, Old Marsh requires no advance tee times and accommodates players of all skill levels. Men’s and women’s locker rooms include spas and saunas. Members may play with caddie or cart. Old Marsh has been recognized nationally for its outstanding caddie program. Amenities at the club include the finest personalized service, professional golf shop, private locker rooms, and two Har-Tru tennis courts.
The clubhouse is open all year round so you can enjoy fine dining in either the formal or informal dining and bar areas that overlook a tranquil 5-acre lake that divides the 9th and 18th holes. This is a picture of beauty where a member can escape the everyday and watch the Florida sun sink into the marshes.
Old Marsh is ideally located in Palm Beach Gardens, a place that has many other attractions to offer its residents. For the those of you interested in nature you can find a few nature and wildlife reserves such as Frenchman’s Forest. This 172-acre natural area is home to over 200 plant species and over 500 species of animal including the Great Horned Owl, Red Bellied Woodpecker, Gopher Tortoise, and Manatee. There are plenty of hiking trails that you can take through creeks, and a boardwalk through Cypress Swamp where you can really see the beauty of the park. Or why not visit Loxahatchee Slough Natural Park which is over 12,000 acres of marshes, swamps, and flatwoods where you can launch boats, canoes or kayaks or take many of the guided hiking trails. Both natural parks are open from sunrise to sunset 365 days a year.
Looking for somewhere to take the children? Then Palm Beach Gardens does not disappoint with the Playmobil Funpark where both children and adults can lose themselves in a world of fun. The park has many areas to cater to every child’s different tastes. You can find pirates, knights, farms, police, fire rescue, dollhouses and many more and all for only $1 entry fee which makes this is a place that shouldn’t be missed. Other attractions available for children include the Cool Beans indoor playground and cafe, and the Downtown Carousel.
The great thing about living in Palm Beach County is that you are never far away from high end shopping, fine dining, cultural and art centres, an array of beautiful beaches, historical landmarks, luxury spa resorts, and of course many other PGA golf courses. There are plenty of attractions and events that cater to everyone’s diverse needs, meaning that you would be hard pushed to find something that didn’t suit. From Old Marsh you will be at The Gardens Mall and PGA Boulevard in just 5 minutes, The Kravis Center and City Place in 20 minutes, and Worth Avenue in just 25 minutes.
