An Unknown Trail Along the Loxahatchee

Did you know there is a natural creek just down the road off from The Shores, Eagles Nest, Whispering Trails, and Imperial Woods? The Limestone Creek Natural Area is an unknown gem that runs along the south-western portion of the Loxahatchee River.

Here you can kayak, hike, walk, bike or just enjoy the nature. There is even a paved wheelchair path through the woods.

Natural-surface trails lead you deeper into the preserve to explore scrub, marsh, and a dense hammock of cabbage palms. An easy place to explore, it’s just off the Indiantown exit of I-95 and Florida’s Turnpike.
