A real estate agent will usually decide whether to become a buyer’s agent or a seller’s agent. Both are similar roles, understanding a client’s needs, negotiating terms and prices, and helping with closing contracts. Some slight differences between the two include staging homes for sellers, setting up open houses, and meeting with contractors.

Their purpose is to be the problem solver, peacemaker, negotiator, action taker, transaction handler, and the all-round font of knowledge. A dedicated agent will be glued to their phone, tablet, or computer doing everything within their power to generate leads, to find the perfect property for buyers, they will also spend time responding to client emails, submitting, and filing real estate documents, agreements, and records, planning appointments, open houses, and meetings, developing marketing plans and fliers, updating social media, and more.
Amidst all this hard work and dedication to clients it is also a requirement that agents continue education to keep an active real estate license. It is a chance for agents to develop new skills and keep on top of their game.
