Cary Lichtenstein, who specializes in multi-million dollars home sales, is a passionate artist in his spare time. Usually in August and September, his slow times, Cary creates oil paintings. Last year he was able to complete both Hillary and “The Donald”. Cary, who has been bald since his late 20s, decided to paint Trump’s Hair in August 2015 just for the heck of it, and after doing that, gave equal time to the Hillary painting. If you study the characterization of each painting, you will find Hillary to be more intriguing, with more mystery; Donald on the other hand, was more fun to paint.

Comparing Ben Carson’s Florida home with Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago about 15 miles to the east in many ways tells you much about their personalities and thought processes. Each owns homes in Florida and both are leading in the polls for the GOP nomination. Carson bought in a value community. Ibis is 5-10 miles farther out from Mirasol, BallenIsles, Old Palm, Frenchman’s Reserve, and Admirals Cove. The Buyer in Ibis gets more bang for their buck in a less expensive home. However, they miss out in having a location that is nearer the central part of town. Trump, on the other hand, bought Mar-a-Lago for $10 million ($3 million was furniture), along with some adjoining homes over the years. Palm Beach is the opposite of central West Palm Beach; glitzy, flashy, expensive, by the water, and near all of the action. It’s the best location in town.
One could say that Carson, by choosing a quieter and more prudent location, would have a more internal type of management style. He will move more slowly and more methodically. Trump, on the other hand, by choosing Palm Beach, will be a deal maker, constantly in the mix with other people. Carson bought a home under market value that was already renovated. He is putting on a new roof. He pays dues to the club. Trump, through all sorts of complex negations, created a club out of nothing and makes money off of it. He didn’t just fix up the essentials, he restored it and made numerous additions, including a 20,000 sq.ft. ballroom, and cutting through ridiculous amounts of Palm Beach red tape to get all of it done in such a way that makes the Democrats and Republicans feel like they are in Kumbaya.
My guess is that Carson’s home is worth $1,250,000; not bad for a $775,000 investment. Mar-a-Lago, on the other hand, is probably worth $250-$300 million. That’s OMG for a $10M investment.

Is Mar-a-Lago Next? PGA National, Trump, "Mutually Agree" to Part Ways [EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS]

July 8th, 2015

Donald Trump has certainly gotten himself into a bit of hot water thanks to his recent comments about the Latino community in the United States, and now he’s getting hit where it hurts the most: his bottom line!

According to CNN, The Donald – who is still, reportedly, trying to stay in the run for a presidential candidacy – has recently seen his golf venture take a professional hit, as he & the Professional Golfer’s Association (PGA) National, located in Palm Beach Gardens, “mutually agreed” to not have the 2016 PGA Grand Slam of Golf hosted on the mogul’s golf course in LA.

This “mutual decision” comes hot on the heels of his other business losses that have come as part of a greater backlash against his ill-advised comments: Univision pulled out of the Miss USA 2016 pageant, network mainstay NBC parted ways with Trump & all his future ventures, and even Macy’s decided to “phase out” its Donald Trump-themed clothing line.

So the question that’s on everyone’s mind: is Mar-a-Lago next on the “hit list”?

Trump’s estate home, located in Palm Beach – which traces its roots back to the Post family (of Post brand cereals) – is one of his oldest investments; the real estate mogul purchased the property from the government in 1985 for a cool $10 million. After restoring the fledgling property to its original splendor, Trump made it into a private club that has become a mainstay amongst Palm Beach’s elite glitterati; despite the controversies, the elegant intelligentsia know that Mar-a-Lago is the go-to destination for elite weddings, corporate functions, and private parties.

Per Trump’s own statements, too, he insists that he employs several Latinos in this and other properties; the question, however, begs itself: is that enough to keep his empire from continuing to crumble around him? Do the several Latino United States citizens that he employs at Mar-a-Lago and other properties love him back like Trump says he loves them? Are they offended and will they want to keep working for a man who has said and has not retracted what he said about their race?

Rush Limbaugh’s Palm Beach Home

Rush Limbaugh’s Palm Beach oceanfront estate with a 5-bedroom guesthouse compound Rush Limbaugh has always been in the news, but recently the unfounded bomb threat which was examined in one of his 4 guest houses and his run-in with college student Sandra Fluke, have increased attention on one of Palm Beach’s most well-known residents.1495 North Ocean Drive is in one of Palm Beach’s most exclusive locales. The estate is situated on 2.2 acres with its own private beach. The compound is a contemporized West Indies construction maze of a huge main house with a minimum of 12 different roof lines to break up the huge mass, and 3 or 4 guest houses and a guard station. The architecture is very well executed, so Rush apparently hired a top-of-the-line Florida architect, and the landscaping appears to be the work of Kerland. The 4 guest homes, other than serving to disarm bombs, are for his constant flow of conservative guests, including the likes of Matt Drudge and Ann Coulter. Limbaugh has a fleet of black & white Maybach 57S, each running at nearly $500,000 each! (see photo of them parked by the guest house compound). The entry to the main house has a majestic fountain in front. People I know who have visited the home describe it as a gold-gilded mansion. The grounds also feature a large swimming pool and putting green.

Rush Limbaugh’s Oceanfront Home

The outside style of the main house is 24,000 square foot under air. The total including patio, garages, and guest homes is over 34,000 square feet. Like all homes, the property appraisal of Rush’s home has gone down from $48,303,931 in 2009 to $34,951,392 in 2011. $6,577,290 is based on land alone. Rush has a homestead exemption which means the county can raise his taxes not more than 3% per year. He also gets his first $50,000 of the value of the home tax free, just like all other homeowners. Rush paid a total amount of $482,691 in taxes in 2011. Click Here to see Rush’s Tax Bill. Some of those tax dollars went to work when the Palm Beach County Sherrif’s Office assisted Rush’s security team with the bomb scare. In addition, the Coast Guard keeps an eye on the ocean waterway, further assisting his security team, at taxpayer’s expense. With property taxes, limos and limo drivers, and home security costs like these, it’s no wonder Rush apologized to Sandra Fluke after losing over 40 advertisers! A little about Palm Beach…..

Palm Beach, Florida was pretty much founded by Henry Morrison Flagler in the early 1890s when he built his first hotel on Palm Beach, the 1100-room Hotel Royal Poinciana on the west side of the island, the largest wooden structure in the world which soon became the largest resort in the world at the time. What remains is currently known as the Flagler Museum. A couple of years later, in 1896, Flagler built the Palm Beach Inn on the ocean side of the island, renaming it The Breakers in 1901.
