Should I use more than 1 Realtor?

Buyers never ask this question, but a small percentage use multiple realtors.

When I take on a new buyer, I give it 110% and expect my buyer to be loyal to me. Some searches can take 2-3 years and I get paid, not from the buyer, but from the seller at the very end, if at all. No other profession works this way.

For some clients, this can mean a couple hundred hours of work over a lengthy time. Initial conversations, setting up searches, tapping into my knowledge base, hours of work in the field to gather my knowledge base, setting up appointments (hours’ worth of researching, calling, returning calls, blocking out time, etc.), automobile expense, and the list goes on and on.  I’d rather not take on a client who disrespects my time and efforts. If a buyer is prone to do that, they’d best be up front with their Realtor and let them make the decision as to whether they want to make a commitment that will likely be fruitless. At the end of the day, we all have the same inventory to show you. It boils down to who you think has the best knowledge base and negotiation skill set.

The best Realtors will pass on a buyer looking with more than one Realtor, knowing that there are only so many hours in a week and want to devote their time to the people who are loyal. In return, we will break our back for you. And by best, I mean the nicest and most loyal people, not just the ones who buy the most expensive houses. My Grandfather had a saying: You can’t do a good deal with a bad guy and you can only do a good deal with a good guy. We are looking for the good guys and will do everything in our power to give them a raving fan’s experience.
