Toll Brothers expands footprint in Juno Beach

Toll Brothers expands footprint in Juno Beach

Toll Brothers, long recognized as a luxury home builder for 40 years, is on the march expanding their footprint in the Jupiter, Juno Beach, Singer Island and Palm Beach Gardens area.
During the real estate boom here in the 2000-2006 period, Toll Brothers bought 2 large parcels of land and developed them into Frenchman’s Reserve in Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter Country Club in Jupiter. True to their style, Frenchman’s Reserve was built around an Arnold Palmer Signature golf course and Jupiter Country Club around a Greg Norman Signature golf course. In case you don’t know, a Signature golf course means it is developed by the designer’s team, not the designer personally. Jack Nicklaus and all designers do this.
This development plan means each street is its own neighborhood and every house has a golf course view out the rear. You will not have neighbors right behind you. Then, they offer different Collections of homes to choose from on the lot of your choosing.
When a small but very choice piece of land became available on Singer Island, where oceanfront condos are the norm, Toll Brothers snatched up the land and built the boutique building of Ocean’s Edge where the ultra-luxurious units stretch from the Atlantic view to the Intracoastal view. This is different from many other buildings already built on Singer Island where your view depends on where your unit is in the building. (In condo-speak, this is called your “stack”). In the luxury condo market you will find this ‘thru-the-building’ approach. The Jupiter Yacht Club uses a similar design.
So, for several years there has been a sign on the Intracoastal where Palm Beach Gardens and Juno Beach meet telling us Toll Brothers would be building here. Now they have begun development. Since it is another small but choice bit of paradise, the format here will be townhouses and single family residences, all with docks and therefore direct ocean access. Most of the homes will have 45′ docks but some will have 90′ docks and a couple will have space for a 100′ yacht, and a 100′ yacht is a big yacht!
There is very little private dockage for a yacht this size. We have plenty of yachts around here, but most of them are moored at places like Loggerhead Marina, Admirals Cove Marina, or Soverel Harbour.
So if you think the luxury market might be for you, our office can arrange a private showing of condos or yacht slips, since slips are privately owned as well. Call, text or email us and we will handle the rest.

Come see what all the waterfront buzz is about!

Celine Dion May Leave Hospital This Week

October 25th, 2010
Jupiter Island is always in the news these days.  For decades, Jupiter Island has been the quiet haunt of the very wealthy…and very private.  Then, slowly the veil was pulled back by the arrival of Greg Norman, Lee Trevino, Nick Price, Alan Jackson and the like.  Publicity  ramped up when Tiger Woods and the maelstrom that is his life these days moved center stage to Jupiter Island, followed by Greg Norman’s tumultuous marriage and divorce from Chris Evert and Celine Dion’s 500,000 gallon water pool (complete with holes drilled into the ground to return the unused water to the aquifer for the rest of us).

The tabloids have been buzzing recently about the much anticipated arrival of the Dion/Angelil twins.  This isn’t the type of buzz usually associated with the hushed tones of Jupiter Island.

But, the twins arrived safely albiet a bit premature and are enjoying the star treatment they are getting.  Canadian newspapers are reporting this morning that the happy family may be returning to the Jupiter Island compound this week.

In spite of her celebrity, the Angelils are just regular folks and are seen at the local little league games just like the rest of us.

So now that Tiger is divorced and Celine has delivered, Jupiter Island can settle back to the peace and quiet of waves lapping at the miles of oceanfront property and the snip, snip, snip of gardeners meticulously maintaining the sprawling estates.

Jupiter Island is a little piece of paradise.  Slip into town and let us show it to you.

Environmental Conditions Are Condusive To Feeling Good And Being Happy

October 25th, 2010

Scientists have known for a long time that certain environmental conditions are condusive to feeling good and being happy.  Being divorced from ringing telephones and the endless drone of the television is one condition.  Soaking up positive ions at the beach is another (and yes, we have miles of free beaches!).  But the easiest condition that will put a smile on your face is the weather we are having right now.

When the humidity drops and the sky clears, we get these beautiful, October blue skies with a little breeze from the northeast and a high of 78.  Here are a few things you can enjoy in the Jupiter/Palm Beach Gardens area on a day like today.   First…GET OUTSIDE!  Take a walk along the beach with your significant other.  Jupiter and Juno Beach are linked by 5 miles of beaches with free public access. Second, GET SOME EXERCISE!  None of us gets as much exercise as we should and now is the perfect time to get some more.  Third, take some pictures.  You know that camera you wish you knew how to use better?  Get out and practice with it today.  The light is bright and perfect for taking pictures.  And maybe combine a trip to the beach with taking some pictures.

If you are a golfer looking to move to the area but haven’t found the perfect house for sale yet, try one of our public courses.  A couple of years ago, Jack Nicklaus redesigned the North Palm Beach Country Club (for $ 1) and it’s a gem of a course now and located right along the Intracoastal Waterway.  Or try the Abacoa Golf Club or The Florida Club or The Champions at Summerfield.

If you are thinking of joining a private country club, they would love to treat you to a round of golf to help you make the decision to buy in their club, so have your Realtor (or my office) set that up for you.  You can choose from clubs like Mirasol, BallenIsles, Admirals Cove or Frenchman’s Reserve.  Then, there are the golf clubs of Old Palm, Old Marsh, The Bear’s Club and The Medalist.

Need to check out one of these clubs?  Give us a call.  This weather doesn’t last all year (just 6 months!), so get out today and enjoy it.  And send this along to a friend who is thinking of moving here.
